Coffs Harbour woman Ms Yvonne Hall has been sentenced to an aggregate of 16 months imprisonment for misappropriating close to $148,000 as Secretary for the Pozieres Remembrance Association, a charity that sold bricks to raise money for an Australian war memorial in France.

Two men have been slapped with serious drug charges after more than 1kg of methylamphetamine was found in the car they were allegedly driving back in March.
Police, tasked with investigating the supply of prohibited drugs between Sydney and Coffs Harbour, stopped a Holden Cruze on the Pacific Highway at Urunga on March 12.
Officers spoke to two men, aged 20 and 25, who were travelling in the car and then seized the vehicle for further examination, where they found 1kg of methylamphetamine concealed inside an internal compartment.
It was only yesterday when detectives arrested the two men, now aged 21 and 25, at Coffs Harbour Police Station.

Police charge driver after pursuit at Coffs Harbour
A man has been charged following a pursuit with police on the state’s Mid North Coast today.
Just before 2pm (Saturday 24 April 2021), police received reports of a Peugeot sedan travelling south at excessive speed on the Pacific Highway towards Coffs Harbour.
Officers from Coffs Harbour Traffic and Highway Patrol saw the vehicle travelling above the 110 km/h speed limit and attempted to stop the vehicle near Sapphire Beach.
The Peugeot failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated travelling through Korora before being terminated due to safety concerns.
A short time later, police patrolling the Coffs Harbour CBD saw the Peugeot stopped in heavy traffic outside the police station.
