Actor Namgoong Min will play the lead role in MBC s new TV spy-action series Black Sun (a literal translation from its Korean title).
The broadcaster said Thursday that the series will premiere in the second half of next year, with the actor, 43, as the main character.
The 15 billion won ($13.7 million) blockbuster series is a co-production with waave, a South Korean video streaming platform, MBC said. Black Sun ― written by Park Seok-ho, whose previous work includes the thriller series The Guardians (2017) and She Knows Everything (2020) ― revolves around a South Korean National Intelligence Service agent.
