But the pandemic didn t simply affect the external aspects of our lives. It has also affected our emotions and mental state. Pandemic fatigue has affected many people, with many experiencing stress as a result of the immense change in lifestyle. When coronavirus cases surged suddenly last February in Korea, people had to adjust to a new way of life. Students like myself, who were scheduled to go back to school in March as the new semester began, had to take online classes at home.

(image: Korea Bizwire) SEOUL, Dec. 22 (Korea Bizwire) A recent study revealed that roughly 4 in 10 smokers in South Korea decided to quit smoking after experiencing deteriorating health. The Korea Health Promotion Institution conducted an online survey of 1,031 male and female adults between the ages of 20 and 65 nationwide, 44.5 percent of whom picked ‘deteriorating health’ as the primary reason for quitting smoking. Among households with lower income, however, the price of cigarettes had a relatively larger influence on the decision to quit smoking.
