The little one was learning to walk, taking three or four steps, stumbling, getting back up, then trying again. Over and over and over. Watching the scene play out, Maciejunes couldn’t help but think about the struggles of the past year.

Columbus Monthly The Columbus Museum of Art’s seventh annual Wonderball was held virtually on Jan. 30, with more than 1,300 households tuning in live and another 700 watching the recorded program the following week (available at columbusmuseum.org/wonderball). Performances ranged from poetry and music to dance, fashion and comedy. The event raised $75,000 to support programs that foster purposeful play, inspire creativity and provoke curiosity. On heels of Aminah Robinson fellowship, Don Coulter re-centers himself

Columbus Alive In February of 2020, Don “DonCee” Coulter drove to New York City, where the Westbeth Gallery included his fabric work in a group show, “The Gold Standard of Textile and Fiber Art.” Coulter got to the gallery’s address an hour early for his artist talk and pulled into a nearby parking garage.  The attendant was like, ‘I don t think you want to do this.’ I m like, ‘What are you talking about? I need to park.’ He was like, ‘It’s $55 an hour,’” said Coulter, who looked around and saw rows of luxury cars. “He was like, ‘Hurry up and back up before somebody comes in.’”
