COLUMBUS, Ohio Police say a 17-year-old boy was injured in a shooting Saturday morning in the southeast area of Columbus.
Around 1:40 a.m., the teen arrived by private vehicle at a local hospital.
Police say the victim initially stated he was walking with a friend near the intersection of South Ohio Avenue and East Kossuth Street just north of East Whittier Street when a Chevy vehicle pulled up near them.
An unknown passenger started shooting at the teen and his friend.
The victim was shot one time in the abdomen. He is now listed as stable.
He was taken to Grant Medical Center and was initially listed in critical condition. He has been upgraded to stable condition and is expected to be OK.

COLUMBUS, Ohio Police say a woman is recovering after she was shot in the right leg Friday night while lying in bed at her home in northeast Columbus.
Officers went to the 1800 block of Brentnell Avenue around 11:35 p.m. on a report of a shooting.
The victim told police she was lying in her bed when unknown suspects fired more than 30 shots at her home. One of the bullets hit her in the leg.
The woman was treated at the scene.
