While not a real page-turner to just about everyone else, it’s a book Beacom read through in his ongoing quest to gain every bit of knowledge about the Missouri River basin he can find. It’s one of more than 300 books on topics that most of us probably would find mundane that Beacom has spent years collecting, reading and storing in the small library on the second floor of his Sioux City home.
