WASHINGTON: The Biden administration has appointed two Indian-American experts Sohini Chatterjee and Aditi Gorur to key diplomatic positions at the US Mission to the United Nations.
Chatterjee will serve as a senior policy advisor to the US Ambassador to the UN, while Gorur has been appointed as policy advisor at the mission, according to the official statement.

Former Obama cybersecurity official Chris DeRusha has been appointed federal CISO by the Biden administration after having served as CISO for the Biden campaign.

DeRusha s position, which falls under the Office of Management and Budget, entails serving as the federal government s lead cybersecurity strategist, and he will act as the liaison between the White House and the departments of Homeland Security and Defense, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and agencies CISOs for all federal cybersecurity activities (see:

President Joe Biden appointed two Indian Americans, Sohini Chatterjee and Aditi Gorur, to the leadership team of the US mission to the UN on Tuesday.
The mission said that the appointments reflect President Biden and Vice President (Kamala) Harris s commitment to building a talented, experienced, and diverse administration that looks like America .
Chatterjee, who had served in former President Barack Obama s administration focusing on global development issues, will be a senior policy adviser.
