MONDAY UPDATES: Boone Hospital Center to forgo Moderna coronavirus vaccine KMIZ Leaders said Boone Hospital has the ultra-cold storage needed for the Pfizer vaccine. The hospital plans to keep getting Pfizer s vaccine so that others without cold storage can have Moderna s. Leaders aren t positive when the next shipment will come in, but hope to know by the end of the week. The hospital has given out 862 vaccines and the second dose of the vaccine will start up on Jan. 7. So far 732 staff members have received the vaccine and 75-percent of the staff are willing to take the vaccine. Boone Hospital reported that 211 employees have gotten COVID-19 since March.
