SALEM Unidentified shooters delivered a message on a rock and fired a barrage of bullets early Thursday into a car and Salem Acres apartment, but police said they believe the shooters may have hit the wrong location. Perry Township Police Chief Mike Emigh would not say why he and Detective Jordan Reynolds both believe the shots were fired at the wrong apartment, but that’s what they believe based on the investigation so far.

SALEM Columbiana County Drug Task Force agents seized numerous suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia during a search of a residence on Georgetown Road in Perry Township Wednesday, with charges pending the outcome of lab results. A woman at the residence, Bethany Devine, 29, whose last known address was Fair Avenue, was taken into custody on a felony warrant for complicity. A man was present, also, but no charges were filed at this time.

Jan 1, 2021 EAST PALESTINE Two search warrants over a four-day time period resulted in the seizure of suspected drugs and other drug-related items. On Dec. 24, members of the East Palestine Police Department, along with the Columbiana County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a Wood Street home. Authorities found suspected methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia and various other drug abuse related items in the home. Then on Dec. 27, the police used a second search warrant for a North Walnut Street home, where drugs, drug paraphernalia, firearms and cash were seized. Police are withholding the names and exact addresses at this time due to the cases remaining under investigation. Charges are expected to be filed once lab results are completed.
