Staff Writer LISBON Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon after they were reportedly caught breaking into a home on Applegate Road outside of Lisbon. Shortly after 1 p.m., the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a burglary in progress at the home, where no one is currently living. Deputies responded to find the two alleged burglars still inside the home in possession of items from the house. According to Columbiana County Sheriff Brian McLaughlin, Edward Sprouse II, 34, who is a neighbor of the Applegate Road home, and Christian J. Francis, 30, who recently moved back to the area from North Carolina, were both charged with breaking and entering. Both men were transported to the county jail and could appear for video arraignments as early as this morning in County Municipal Court, although they were not yet on the court’s schedule on Wednesday evening.
