PHILADELPHIA - Six people were hospitalized Sunday morning and a 24-year-old man was killed after overnight violence across Philadelphia continued.
In a first shooting, a 19-year-old Black man was shot once in the head. The incident happened on the 1000 block of West Ruscomb Street, just before 10 p.m. He was transported by private vehicle to Albert Einstein Medical Center and was listed in critical condition. The scene was held, no arrest was made and no weapon recovered. The investigation is active and ongoing with Northeast Detectives Division.

PHILADELPHIA - A man is dead after he was shot in the chest in the Kensington section of the city.
Police responded to the 800 block of East Madison Street for reports of a person with a gun. The shooting happened on Tuesday at approximately 1:02 p.m.
The victim, later identified as 43-year-old Wilfredo Couvertier, was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. He was pronounced dead at 1:22 p.m.
The scene was held, but no arrests have been made and no weapons have been recovered.
The investigation is active and ongoing with Homicide Detectives Division.

Police investigating Grays Ferry murder
Police said the incident happened on Feb. 8 at about 7:51 p.m.
Officers in the 17th Police District responded to reports of gunfire on the 2900 block of Morris St. They found the victim in a nearby residence on the 1700 block of S. Hollywood St.
Darius Winters, 15, of the 400 block of E. Narragansett St. in Germantown, was shot in the chest and left elbow. He was transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:20 p.m.
No arrest has been made, and no weapon recovered. The motive and suspect are unknown. The investigation is ongoing with the Homicide Detectives Division.
