New Delhi, Feb 26 : Former India pacer Vinay Kumar, who twice captained Karnataka to Ranji Trophy title, on Friday announced retirement from international and a 17-year first-class cricket.
Kumar, 37, played in 31 ODIs, nine T20Is and one Test. His last international appearance was in an ODI against Australia in Bengaluru in 2013. He led Karnataka to the Ranji Trophy title twice, 2013-14 and 2014-15, in a stellar domestic career. Today, the Davangere Express after running for 25 years and passing so many stations of cricketing life, has finally arrived at the station called retirement , Kumar said in a statement he posted on his social media pages.
