Riverside County reports 50% increase in COVID ICU patients since Friday U.S. Navy / Luke Cunningham For the second week in a row, Riverside County reported a 50 percent increase in COVID patients admitted into the intensive care unit. The county reported 15 patients admitted into the ICU since Friday, bringing the total up to 47. That s the most patients in the ICU since March 15, 2021. There was also a sizeable increase in COVID-related hospitalizations since Friday. Riverside County reported 24 additional hospitalizations over the past three days, bringing the total up to 190. It s the most COVID hospitalizations in Riverside County since March 17, 2021. Riverside County started off July with 48 hospitalizations and 13 ICU patients.

Riverside County will post COVID updates every week day again RUHS Riverside County health officials have reversed course on their decision to post coronavirus update weekly. The county will once again be posting coronavirus date updates every day starting Thursday. The move from weekly to the daily updates (except for weekends) will give the public a better sense of where the data is trending, reads a notice from county spokesperson Jose Arballo Jr. The county reported 452 new cases, 0 deaths, and 233 recoveries since Wednesday. This brings the totals to 304,512 cases, 4,657 deaths, and 297,244 recoveries. There were also 5 additional hospitalizations (160 total) and 2 more people in the ICU (32 total) over the past 24 hours.
