Kyle Hines has seen just about everything in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague over his career. He had seen the highs of winning titles and the lows of tough losses. And it was that experience that shined through when AX Armani Exchange Milan needed it the most - and helped the Italian side finally get back to the Final Four.
After having witnessed his team inexplicably nearly blow a 12-point lead in the final minute, the 34-year-old veteran ended the drama with a game-saving defensive play for a 92-89 Milan home win over FC Bayern Munich in Game 5.

Just how great were the 2021 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs? So much so that the three teams that lost Game 5s on Tuesday to end their respective seasons can all turn to at least one play in the series that had it gone differently, they could be preparing for the Final Four in Cologne, Germany, too.
In Tuesday s early game, Real Madrid forced Anadolu Efes Istanbul guard Krunoslav Simon into a long, tough three-pointer with the shot clock winding down in the final minute and the score tied. A Simon miss and Los Blancos would have had the ball with an opportunity to win it. However, Simon s shot swished through the net and Sergio Llull missed a three on the next possession, which paved the way to an Efes win.

AX Armani Exchange Milan narrowly avoided a massive collapse in ending a nearly three-decade wait by defeating FC Bayern Munich 92-89 at home in Game 5 to reach the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four. Shavon Shields poured in a career-high 34 points to lead the three-time European champion, which last played in the Final Four in 1992. Milan led by as many as 17 points and was still up 12 points with 78 seconds left in the game. But through a series full of amazing comebacks, Bayern did not give up and had possession of the ball down just 2 points in the final 14 seconds until Kyle Hines came up with a big defensive stop for Milan - to go along with his 12 points and 7 rebounds.
