Fort McMurray Adds 22 COVID-19 Recoveries, 17 New Cases

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Wednesday 1,270 new cases across the province. This raises the provincial total to 84,597 with 20,169 currently active. There are also 749 Albertans in the hospital for the virus, 139 of which are in ICUs. Locally, Fort McMurray added 17 new cases and 22 additional recoveries which lowers the active total to 219. The rural areas added two more recoveries which puts the total of active cases at six. In total, 950 individuals across the RMWB – 841 in Fort McMurray and 109 in the rural areas – have recovered.
