Shortly after his inauguration, Biden tapped Richard Glick to chair the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. From 2001 to 2016, Glick served as head lobbyist for Avangrid Renewables, the U.S. subsidiary of Spanish electric conglomerate Iberdrola. The company holds a 50 percent stake in Vineyard Wind, which is set to become the country s first large-scale offshore wind farm after the Biden administration approved the project on May 11.

The La Gan Wind Power Development Corporation has signed two contracts with Vietnam’s Northern Center for Planning and Investigation of Marine Resources and Environment (CPIM) for the 3.5 GW La Gan offshore wind farm.
Under the contracts, CPIM, in cooperation with the Danish geological authority GEUS, will deliver a geophysical survey and geological and marine usage study for the La Gan project.
“We are extremely pleased to support this collaboration between two government agencies and facilitate knowledge transfer to Vietnam”, the developer said via social media.
The La Gan Wind Power Development Corporation is developing the 3.5 GW project on behalf of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), Asiapetro, and Novasia Energy.
