COPPERAS COVE, TX â The Copperas Cove Police Department is investigating after a man was found shot Thursday afternoon.
Around 12:42 p.m. on January 7, officers responded to the area of Donna Avenue and Hughes Avenue for a report of a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered first aid until Copperas Cove Fire & EMS arrived.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple and is in stable condition at this time.

COPPERAS COVE, TX â UPDATE:
On January 4, 2021, The United States Marshals Service â Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, assisted by the Killeen Police Department and Harker Heights Police Department arrested Calvin Lee Jackson Jr.
Officers found Jackson in the 200 block of Jaimie Dr, Harker Heights, Texas. Officers apprehended Jackson at about 2:00 PM.
Jackson was transported by the US Marshals to the Coryell County Jail.

The Copperas Cove Police Department is asking for the public s help finding a man suspected of shooting a woman multiple times on New Year s Eve.
Around 12:26 PM today, Copperas Cove PD officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim in the 100 block of East Avenue A. Upon arrival, they found a woman with several gunshot wounds. She was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. Police did not comment on her condition.
Police have identified Calvin Lee Jackson Jr. as the suspect in this case. He reportedly fled the scene of the shooting in a tan colored Cadillac with chrome rims. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, charging him with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Family Violence.
