Police: 6 injured after pair of gunmen open fire on group in Hunting Park

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say six people were injured by gunfire when at least two shooters opened fire on a group of people gathered on the street late Saturday night in Hunting Park.
Officers were called to the 900 block of West Butler Street around 11:30 p.m. for reports of gunfire. Responding officers did not find any victims but noticed several cars peppered with gunfire and multiple spent shell casings on the road, according to police.
Officers later learned that 6 men between the ages of 22 and 41 arrived at Temple University Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said two victims suffered life-threatening injuries, including a 22-year-old who was shot a dozen times.

Police say a 33-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday afternoon in North Philadelphia.
NORTH PHILADELPHIA - Authorities are searching for a shooter after a young man was gunned down in North Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Officers were called to the 1800 block of Oxford Street just before 5:30 p.m. for reports of gunfire. Police say a 33-year-old man was found shot in the chest and waist.
Emergency medical responders took the victim to Temple University Hospital where he died, according to police.
Investigators have not said what sparked the deadly shooting.

Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 3400 block of North Water Street just before 9 p.m. for reports of gunfire.
Officers drove a 47-year-old man to Temple University Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and legs.
A 51-year-old shooting victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries to the hand, police said.
