LOWER GWYNEDDÂ â One person was killed and two others injured in an accident on DeKalb Pike early Thursday morning.
According to Lower Gwynedd Township Police Department, the accident took place at roughly 3:28 a.m. on the 500 block of DeKalb Pike between Greycliffe Lane and Grasshopper Lane.Â
Police said their investigation has revealed that a sedan occupied by three adults hit a fuel truck in the rear, and the driver of the fuel truck was not hurt. Two of the occupants of the sedan were seriously injured and the third was fatally injured, according to police.

One of the injured was flown by medical helicopter to Temple University Hospital and the other was taken by ambulance to Abington Memorial Hospital; conditions of both were unknown as of Thursday evening.

Teamsters 53 endorses Thomson for judge
Barbara Thomson, a Democratic candidate for Municipal Court, was endorsed by Teamsters Joint Council 53.
“During college summers, the hardest job I had was when I worked construction as a laborer. I loved those jobs because the people treated me so well. I will never forget those relationships. They enforced the values of respect and compassion I was raised with,” Thomson said. “We watched out for each other.”
Thomson is one of four candidates running for three seats. ••
