This lead to the officer discharging his firearm. Around 3 pm, a Temple Police Officer conducted a traffic stop at W. Avenue H. and S. 37th St. when the suspect fled in his vehicle and was located in the 500 block of W. Avenue V. As officers approached, the suspect attempted to flee again, nearly striking an officer with his vehicle. The officer fired two shots striking the vehicle but missing the suspect.
