Man throws son into sea as sacrifice

A 31-year-old man, who allegedly threw his son into the sea, near Akuma, Accra, has appeared before the Kaneshie District Court charged with murder.
Prince Acquaye, also known as (aka), Juu, said to have engaged in occultism, allegedly threw his son into the sea as sacrifice.
Acquaye is said to have told his girlfriend that if anything happened to their son, she should not worry because they were going to be rich very soon.
The court did not take Acquaye’s plea and he was remanded into police custody, pending further investigations.

He is on a provisional charge of murder contrary to Section 46 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960, Act 29. Prince Acquaye is expected to reappear before the court presided over by Her Honour Rosemond Doudowaa Agyiri on May 17, 2021. Starrfm.com.gh reported Inspector Apewe Achama as having told the court that the complainant in the matter is Abigail Nyumor, the girlfriend of the accused and the mother of the child. Both the complainant and accused are food vendors and live at Akuma village near the Bank of Ghana. The accused is also claimed to be an internet fraudster who lived together with his lover and the child now deceased who is their only child.
