Awukugwa acid suspect in the cooler; family pleads for public support to treat victims An Akuapem Mampong Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Honour Felicia Antwi Anane, has remanded a 54-year-old Awukugua-based businessman, Nana Yaw Mante, into police custody for allegedly pouring acid on one Deborah Osei, a Senior High School graduate  suspected to be his former girlfriend, and supposed mother in-law, Madam Asi Jacklyn, for rejecting his proposal of marriage. Nana Yaw Mante, after committing the crime surrendered himself to the Adukrom Police Command and was immediately dragged to the Akuapem Mampong Magistrate Court. The court remanded the suspect in order to pave way for thorough investigations to be conducted into the matter. He is to reappear on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
