The site is the beverage brand’s first in the country, a new milestone in its 109-year journey with Filipinos.

SCAM ALERT: The Coca-Cola Welfare Fund is Not Giving Away Lottery Money

Origin An online survey purportedly from the “Coca-Cola Welfare Fund” is promising you a chance to win money in a lottery. But like many things online, it is a scam, and you should not click on any link promising this so-called opportunity. The link spread far and wide in early June 2021, across Facebook pages in many countries, stating a variation of: “Click to enter to participate in the survey, have a chance to win 7000 peso.” In Cambodia, it reportedly offered a chance to win 200,000 riel, the local currency.  Screenshots show the scam was also shared in multiple languages: The post spread so much that the Cambodian Ministry of Interior’s Anti-Cybercrime Department released a statement to warn people not to click on a link claiming to be from the “Coca-Cola Welfare Fund.” Chea Pov, the director of the anti-cybercrime department, said such posts were intended to spread viruses, collect user data, and locate users.

Coca-Cola Philippines to pursue multi-phased solar panel project

May 26, 2021 COCA-COLA Beverages Philippines Inc. (CCBPI), the bottling arm of Coca-Cola in the country, has completed the installation of almost 14,000 solar panels in its Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental and Bacolod plants in the first quarter of 2021. The firm said a multi-phased solar panel project is underway that covers four more sites namely, Canlubang, Sta. Rosa, Zamboanga and Cebu with 2022 as a target deadline. This expansion translates to a 24,000 solar panel project, with the total capacity of 9.4 megawatts. More projects are in the pipeline two plants in North Luzon and the Visayas are being assessed for renewable energy (RE) integration.

(CCBPI), the bottling arm of Coca-Cola in the country, said Tuesday it has completed the installation of 14,000 solar panels in its manufacturing plants. The solar panels were installed in CCBPI’s plants in Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental, and Bacolod. The project is part of the company’s further integration of renewable energy into its operations, it said in a statement. CCBPI said another multi-phased solar panel project is underway that covers four more sites namely Canlubang, Sta. Rosa, Zamboanga, and Cebu with 2022 as a target deadline. The company said it is pursuing a 24,000 solar panel project, with the total capacity to produce a maximum of 9.4 megawatts.
