Rodgers, 42, of Collinsville, was charged May 20 with aggravated battery, a Class 2 felony. The case was presented by the Collinsville Police Department. According to court documents, on April 29 Rodgers allegedly kicked a Collinsville police officer. Bail was set at $50,000. Other felony charges filed May 20 by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office include: • James W. Doty Sr., 50, of Granite City, was charged with domestic battery (second subsequent offense), a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Collinsville Police Department. On April 22 Doty allegedly grabbed a household or family member by the hair, causing injury. It was noted that he has a prior conviction for domestic battery out of Madison County in 2014. Bail was set at $25,000.

Brown, 24, of Venice, was charged May 14 with unlawful possession of weapons by a felon, and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, both Class 3 felonies. The case was presented by the Venice Police Department. According to court documents, on May 13 Brown allegedly was found to be in possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver, and a Taurus 9 mm handgun. Brown has a prior conviction for possession with intent to deliver out of Madison County in 2019, making him ineligible to possess weapons.

Kinny L. Pauley, also known as Kenneth Pauley and Kenny Pauley, 33, of Wood River, was charged May 4 with unlawful possession of weapons by a felon, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the South Roxana Police Department. According to court documents, on April 25 Pauley, who has a prior conviction for attempt residential burglary out of Madison County in 2011, allegedly was found to be in possession of a blackjack. Bail was set at $25,000.
