He has been resting at his home, Puthupally House at Poojappura here. The health department authorities are planning to shift him to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College on Thursday night itself. The former Chief Minister had travelled across Kerala on a rigorous election campaign ever since the candidature list was announced during mid-March.

His daughter Veena Vijayan had tested positive for the virus on Tuesday.  Following this, Mr. Vijayan s samples were collected and tested at the Kannur Government Medical College hospital. Interestingly, the Chief Minister had taken the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine a month ago. He had been campaigning across the State during the Assembly elections, which got over on April 6.

It was organised by the Department of Paediatrics, Government Medical College Hospital (MCH), Kozhikode, New Delhi-based CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB), and the Kozhikode chapter of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP). Mohandas Nair from the MCH, Kozhikode; Shefali Gulati from All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi; Vinod Scaria from IGIB; Aman Sharma from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, Punjab; and Sumita Danda from Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, presented papers.
