WHIZ News Coshocton woman charged with Trafficking in Meth COSHOCTON, Ohio–Authorities announced Monday that a Coshocton woman has been charged following a traffic stop that resulted in the discovery of drugs. The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office reported that 50-year-old Tricia L. Winegar was formally charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, a felony of the second degree. Winegar was arrested Sunday morning after she was pulled over by deputies for a moving violation on Pleasant Valley Drive near Eagle Drive in Coshocton. Authorities said with the help of their K-9 Chili they searched the vehicle and found a large amount of suspected drugs, cash and other narcotic related items .

Traffic stop leads to drug bust on Pleasant Valley Drive Staff Report COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Sheriff s Office is still investigating an overnight traffic stop that led to a drug bust.  The sheriff s office said the incident occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Pleasant Valley Drive, near Eagle Drive. A 2002 Dodge sedan was stopped for a moving violation. Upon investigation, K-9 officer Chili indicated on the vehicle and it was searched. Found inside the vehicle were suspected drugs, cash and other narcotic related items.  The female passenger was placed under arrest and transported to the Coshocton Justice Center. The name of the suspect has not be released, pending the filing of formal charges. The Coshocton County Prosecutor s Office is reviewing the case and assisting in the investigation. 

Hit-skip crash injures the O Neills of Waynesburg, other driver fled

A Waynesburg couple was returning home on their motorcycle when a car struck it and left them for dead in Coshocton County, a family member said. Shawn O Neill, 57, and his wife, Robin, 58, remain in critical condition with multiple injuries in the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. Their son, James, said his parents will be in the hospital for several weeks.  They are going to have a very, very long road physically and mentally to recover, he said Wednesday. On Thursday afteroon the Coshocton County Sheriff Office reported two people have been charged in connection to this incident.  Jarome L. Starner, 39, of Coshocton and Melannis L. Stevens, 45, of Newcomerstown, were charged with one count each of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. The Coshocton County Sheriff s Office is not releasing any other information regarding the charges, as it continues to investigate the incident.
