(CNN) Childhood sweethearts who were inseparable during their 70 years of marriage died of Covid-19 while holding hands in an Ohio hospital, their family told CNN.
Dick Meek, 89, and Shirley Meek, 87, passed away within minutes of each other on January 16 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, the family said. They never had to go through until death do us part, said their daughter Debbie Howell. They never had to do that because they were together and we re ever so grateful.

Coshocton man charged in connection to wife’s murder
COSHOCTON COUNTY, Ohio–Authorities announced Wednesday that a Coshocton man is facing a second murder charge in connection to a domestic related shooting from last week.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office said that 42-year-old Edward Young has been charged with the murder of his 34-year-old wife, Martha Elizabeth Young of Coshocton.
Authorities said the charges stem from a shooting incident that happened on January 4th at a home on Hutchinson Avenue where Elizabeth Young was found in the yard suffering from multiple gun shot wounds.
She was taken to Coshocton Regional Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.

COSHOCTON A 42-year-old Coshocton man has been charged with killing his wife Jan. 4.
Edward L. Young was formally charged with murder Wednesday in connection with the death of 34-year-old Martha Elizabeth Young of Coshocton, according to Coshocton County Sheriff James A. Crawford.
He had been previously been charged Jan. 5 with the murder of 26-year-old Joshua Allen Jones of Coshocton on the day before.
Both victims appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds in a domestic situation at 23877 Hutchinson Ave. in Canal Lewisville.
Five children were present at the home during the incident.
Mrs. Young was found lying in the front yard of the home. Jones was lying on the floor inside the home, apparently dead. Mrs. Young was taken to Coshocton Regional Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

COSHOCTON - More than $22,000 has been pledged in about a day to support funeral expenses for sibling victims of a double homicide.
George Jones Sr., father of Martha Young and Joshua Jones, started a Facebook fundraiser page on Tuesday to assist the family with funeral expenses for the pair who died from multiple gunshot wounds Monday in the Olde Hickory Subdivision of Canal Lewisville. At 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, it had brought in $22,183 from 486 donors. The set goal was $2,000.
Edward L. Young, 42, Coshocton, was formally charged with murder in relation to the shooting death of Joshua on Tuesday. Charges were yet to be filed as of early Wednesday afternoon in connection to Martha. The Coshocton County Prosecutor s Office is continuing to review the case and more charges are expected.
