After a disgusted Frankie insists that her mum deserves everything that s coming to her, Katy is horrified when the police come knocking.
Panicking, Katy sneaks out and shows up at Mick s, who wastes no time in telling her to leave. Mick also insists that he hasn t called the police and is sure that Frankie hasn’t either.
Furious, Katy changes tactic and once again begins to manipulate the situation, but it s clear the net is closing in.
Letitia explained: The party is another example of Sharon refusing to back down despite feeling at odds with herself – she is determined not to let Kathy get close. On a complete whim she tells Kathy she s throwing a big party to celebrate her marriage for the whole Square to finally see their love. Naturally she instantly regrets it as she has just invited the whole of Walford, who will now see how bad Ian is getting with their own eyes. Ian s romantic gesture is another tough moment that she has to grin and bear – you d think after faking being happy for so long she d be able to go along with ease, but it just shows how deeply disgusted she is.
One of the big moments of last year was the death of Chantelle and everybody s asking the question of when Gray will receive his comeuppance, he acknowledged. The soap gods never forgive something like that and we need to see Gray pay, but I m going to keep when that ll happen close to my chest but it s something we ve talked about a lot.
EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday, January 7 at 7.35pm and Friday, January 8 at 8pm on BBC One.

Simone added: Katy was cornered when Mick arrived and the audience were able to see just how dark and nasty she is. I remember just before going on set, I had a moment, thinking about the scene I was about to do and its importance. I looked up at the red light in the studio and felt such a thrill and gratitude to have such a great job and a complex character to play, especially during these times. It felt like standing in the wings waiting to go on stage with all that adrenaline. I really care about the storyline, it s so important and I hope that it raises awareness.
