K9 Nora’s vest is sponsored by Greg and Jolene King of Highland, MD and will be embroidered with the sentiment “Born to Love-Trained to Serve-Loyal Always”. Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S. made, custom fitted, and NIJ certified.Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 4,183 vests to K9s in all 50 states at a value of $6.9 million, made possible by both private and corporate donations.

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ga. The GBI is investigating after a man was shot in Crawford County Tuesday night.
According to a news release, it happened just before 10 p.m. at a home on Pine Valley Drive off Boy Scout Road.
When Crawford County Sheriff’s Office deputies got to the scene, they found the 24-year-old victim had been taken to the hospital by a family member.
The GBI was then requested to lead the investigation, which is ongoing.
The sheriff’s office says more information will be given at a later time.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. The GBI has charged a man after a shootout with officers in a Warner Robins shopping center parking lot Thursday.
According to a news release, Derik Jones faces three charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, theft by receiving, possession of a firearm while on first offender probation, criminal trespassing and entering auto.
He will be taken to the Houston County jail after being released from the Medical Center, Navicent Health where he is listed in stable condition.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) GBI agents have charged a North Carolina man in the Warner Robins officer-involved shooting. The incident happened Thursday in Bealls Outlet parking outlet.
Authorities identify the man as 27-year-old Derik Edward Jones.
