Galion Man Arrested Following illegal Narcotics Trafficking Investigation

Jul 26, 2021 News release and photo courtesy of Crawford County Sheriff The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office along with METRICH concluded a several month-long investigation into illegal narcotics trafficking and possession. The Crawford County Special Response Team executed the search warrant at 317 Dawsett Ave. Galion, Ohio 44833. The search warrant was executed on July 23, 2021 at 7:28 AM. Arrested was Theodore Britt, age 32, who resides at this address. Mr. Britt was the target of the investigation. Officers seized suspected Heroin and drug paraphernalia. Criminal charges are pending against Britt for trafficking in drugs- Meth, Britt also had two (2) active warrants for his arrest, out of Crawford County Municipal Court. Britt is currently incarcerated at the Crawford County Justice Center. Reports will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of additional charges.

Fifty years later, and he’s still here. Bud served in the United States Naval Construction Battalions, “Navy Seabees,” in Vietnam from 1966 until 1968. When Bud came back from Vietnam, he got into law enforcement because he wanted to help somebody. “I was working in a factory and came back to Galion, my hometown, and joined the reserve unit the special deputy unit with Floyd Smith,” Bud said. “I was promoted in 1974, and in my time, I’ve worked for Floyd Smith, Ronny Shawber, and now Sheriff Kent.”
