GP practices began to administer the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Among the initial patients to receive it, at Long Lee Surgery, was 95-year-old Mohammed Bostan. He said: “If I can help save just one person’s life by encouraging them to have their vaccination then I’ll be very happy. I’ve been staying at home self-isolating since March and only go out to go to the doctors or for a hospital appointment. Having the vaccine is a lifeline for me and I’m looking forward to having my booster in three weeks so I can get out a little more in the New Year.”
