JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A registered sex offender is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond after investigators alleged he had sexual contact with a young child.
Craighead County District Judge David Boling found probable cause Monday, Dec. 21, to arrest Eddie Marcus Higgins, 38, of Jonesboro on one count of second-degree sexual assault and failure to register/comply with reporting requirements.
According to court documents, the victimâs mother contacted police on Dec. 18 after the child said Higgins âhad done things to her in a sexual natureâ multiple times in the last week.
