Nissan Sunderland plant ‘secure for the long term’
Nissan’s Sunderland plant, which employs 6,000 people and supports almost 70,000 jobs in the supply chain, is ‘secure for the long term’ following the UK-EU trade deal, the manufacturer has told the BBC. The Japanese firm also said it will move additional battery production close to the plant.

· AMU-LED aims to demonstrate the safe integration of all types of drone operations in urban environments to realise increasingly sustainable, smart cities.
· The project is contributing to the European Union initiative of ensuring the safe and secure integration of drones in Europe, otherwise known as U-space.
· The project will combine various exercises, including
passenger transport in air taxis, the transportation and delivery of goods, police surveillance and support for emergency services.
· 2022 will see some of the largest demonstrations ever made, in three European countries:
Spain, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
· The project involves 17 companies and institutions from
Europe and the United States.

Boohoo last night insisted the event complied with Covid-19 rules but it appeared to fly in the face of Foreign Office guidance which advises against all but essential travel .

A spokesman insisted that wearing a mask was compulsory during the meeting but could not say whether their 53-year-old boss had observed the rules at all times.

Air quality
A digital model was produced that analysed the impact of air quality and social factors, both in Italy and the US, on COVID-19 infection rates.
Their model demonstrated that if the Air Quality Index could be reduced by 2%, in the long-term, then infection rates would decrease by between 4-5%.
