For the past 20 years, Brenda Jenkins of Gloucester has been associated with the kitchen department of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office. However, this was not the beginning of her love for cooking. “I have been cooking most of my life,” Brenda confided. “I started cooking when I was about 8 or 10 years old when my parents owned a grocery store. The store, W.L. Shephard and Son, was located on the corner of Gum Fork and Hickory Fork roads. My mother was the one who began teaching me so I could do the family cooking while my parents attended to the grocery store.”

Authorities say someone was breaking into vehicles when a male homeowner confronted the person. The homeowner, who is an off-duty Gloucester County Sheriff s Office deputy, was shot. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Search continues for missing woman – Gazette Journal

Posted On December 9, 2020 Ashley Cerasole The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating and checking the welfare of 29-year-old Ashley Cerasole. A resident of the Cary Avenue Adult Home in Gloucester Court House, Cerasole was last seen walking in the Main Street area around 4:30 p.m. last Thursday, Dec. 3. Cerasole is 5’3” and weighs approximately 170 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. She is believed to be wearing a light multicolored (white, blue and pink) rain or windbreaker-style jacket. As of Wednesday morning, the search was still underway for the missing woman, according to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office.
