CASPER, Wyo. Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon and Japan Coal Frontier Organization President Osamu Tsukamoto have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will allow a partnership between the State of Wyoming and the Japan Coal Energy Center (JCOAL) to continue.
Gordon’s office said on Monday, August 2 that the MOU will allow collaborative research into Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage to continue at the Wyoming Integrated Test Center in Gillette.
“This MOU reinforces my commitment to working cooperatively to keep coal in the energy mix and continuing our efforts to support carbon capture and sequestration,” Gordon said in the press release Monday.
