Quebec’s Family Ministry has ordered an external audit to examine how the personal information of thousands of Quebec parents and their children was hacked from a daycare-availability website managed by the Coopérative Enfance Famille.
The audit will be conducted in parallel with a police investigation launched after the hack was carried out last Saturday, Family Minister Mathieu Lacombe said Wednesday, describing the breach as “intolerable.”
