Shadab Teases Sarfraz for Wanting to be Like Faf du Plessis
Former captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed’s fitness issues had been in the limelight in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, after which he was sacked as captain and dropped from the team. Sarfaraz put in the hard work and regularly posted his work-out routine on social media to show his weight-loss and fitness regime, one which has been appreciated by the Pakistan cricket fans.
Current white-ball vice-captain of Pakistan, Shadab Khan, teased the former captain on his latest fitness video and said that Sarfaraz wants to have a body like the South African batsman, Faf du Plessis. He said that ever since Sarfaraz has seen the shirtless picture of Du Plessis, he has worked-out twice as hard to build a body like him.
3 reasons Pakistan won’t find it easy to beat South Africa
A relaxed South Africa, too many uncapped players in Pakistan, and lack of confidence can cause hosts downfall
KARACHI:
South Africa may have travelled and quarantined before playing the two Test and three T20Is against Pakistan, however, it should be noted that the visitors won’t be easy to beat for the hosts.
Here are the three reasons hosts Pakistan will find it difficult to beat South Africa, even with the home advantage.
1. No mental fatigue for SA
In the current ‘bio-secure bubble’ environment where most of the cricket is happening, mental wellness of players has been one of the major talking points. Pakistan travelled to New Zealand and found themselves out of confidence and form due to 14-day isolation in a mediocre facility.
Misbah-ul-Haq feels Pakistan have a perfect chance to beat South Africa due to home advantage
South Africa’s cricket team is in Pakistan to play two Tests and three T20 matches. This is Proteas’ first visit to the country in almost 14 years.
When South Africa last toured Pakistan, in 2007 under Graeme Smith, Shoaib Malik was the captain of Pakistan team. The series won by the visitors 1-0.
Playing on home soil in known conditions always increases the confidence of local players. The series will provide a good experience to young Pakistani players, who have been selected for the first time on the basis of their domestic performances. It will be a good chance for them to perform against a quality opposition and cement their places in the national team.
The veteran wicketkeeper, Kamran Akmal, believes that the Pakistan Test squad for the series against South Africa is average and can be beaten by a domestic side. Akmal said that Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) teams could beat the current squad within four days.

Akmal said that he could assemble a better squad than the national team and claimed that the said team would easily defeat the Test side.
“I can vouch and put in writing that WAPDA and SSGC teams can beat this formation. Give me the power and I will raise a team of WAPDA players and I can bet they will beat this team within four days,” Akmal said.
