ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi Friday said the nation should reaffirm its commitment to building a state that respected the diversity of its people and provided equal opportunities to its citizens irrespective of their religion, caste, creed or colour.
In his message on the 144th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he asked the nation to follow in his footsteps for success.
He also urged the nation to remember the brethren of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on this occasion, who were being subjected to the worst kind of state terrorism for over seven decades .
Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday said there was no other pleasure more real to the nation than the commemoration of birthday of Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

LAHORE: Lahore Arts Council (LAC) celebrated 144th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with great respect here on Friday at Alhamra Art Centre, the Mall Road.
Information Secretary Raja Jahangir Anwar was the chief guest on the function. He cut the cake along with Chairperson Alhamra Moneeza Hashmi, Executive Director Saman Rai and DGPR Dr Aslam Dogar, Director-General PILAC Dr Sughra Sadaf, Director Lahore Museum Ejaz Ahmad Minhas and other officials.
On the occasion, Provincial Secretary for Information and Culture, Raja Jahangir Anwar said that today is a day of happiness not only for me but for the entire Pakistani nation. In addition, today is a day to renew one s commitment as a Pakistani citizen. We are fortunate to have a leader who, with his brilliant ingenuity, changed the map of this world forever.

ISLAMABAD: The nation will celebrate the birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah today (Friday) across the country with traditional zeal and fervour. Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876 in Karachi.
The birthday is a public holiday and the national flag will be hoisted on principal government buildings throughout the country. The day will dawn with special prayers for the security,progress and prosperity of the country.
