Xbox’s Perfect Dark reboot, Fable as well as Rare’s Everwild won’t be released anytime soon, according to GamesIndustry’s Christopher Dring.
While this might not be a surprise for everyone, Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox exclusives are still pretty far away. Microsoft’s upcoming titles were mentioned during the most recent VGC podcast. In the podcast, the upcoming titles from Sony and Microsoft were mentioned, and while Dring praised Microsoft’s first-party studios, he said that fans will likely have to wait a few more years before they will be able to play the aforementioned exclusives.

Bethesda Officially Joins Xbox Games Studios, Some Future Titles Will Be Microsoft-Exclusive
Microsoft’s acquisition with ZeniMax Media has officially been completed. Bethesda SVP of public relations and marketing Pete Hines also noted that the deal has passed requisite regulatory approvals and has been signed. Bethesda is now part of Microsoft’s Xbox Games Studios family.
This acquisition adds several other studios to Xbox’s first-party portfolio, including id Software, Arkane, MachineGames, Alpha Dog, Roundhouse Studios, and Tango Gameworks. Hines stated that Game Pass has been an important initiative for Xbox, and Bethesda is going to put more of its titles in the subscription service going forward.
More Unannounced Xbox Games Are Coming This Year, Says Microsoft
Surprising no one, Xbox s director of program management says that more unannounced games will come to platforms this year.
A Microsoft executive has said that there are more Xbox games coming this year that we don t yet know about. In an interview with the Iron Lords podcast that focused on the Xbox Series X, Xbox s director of program management Jason Ronald was asked what game he was most looking forward to in 2021. In response, he said the following: Not all games that are releasing this year have been announced.
While this certainly isn t a surprise, given that there s still a lot of 2021 left to go, it s not clear if Ronald was referring to games made by Microsoft s own Xbox Games Studios or any other studios that the console juggernaut owns, such as Halo developer 343 Industries. Ronald might also be referring to studios that Microsoft is in the process of buying, such as Bethesda.
