NEW YORK, May 14 (Reuters) - Wall Street closed higher in a broad rally, an upbeat conclusion to whipsaw week of buying and selling as signs of a rebounding economy squared off against mounting inflation jitters.
All three major U.S. indexes extended Thursday s gains, which saw S&P 500 notch its biggest one-day percentage bump in over a month.

Delavan – There comes a time in life when we leave our loved ones behind and let the soul take us to the promise of life everlasting where pain and suffering are no more. Marian Lorraine Carlson made her journey away from family and friends on May 2, 2021. Marian was born on April 30, 1926 to John and Mary Quint in Winnebago. She was a graduate of Winnebago High School and married Virgil Dale Carlson on July 20, 1946 who preceded her in death in 1994. Marian and Virgil lived on their farm seven miles northeast of Delavan. Together they raised four sons, Gary Carlson and wife Mary, of Blue Earth, Chuck Carlson (deceased Feb. 12, 2021), Tom Carlson, of Fairmont and Kenn Carlson and spouse John Stofko, of Minneapolis. She had eight siblings three of which survive her today, Delores Osmundson, of Delavan, Larry Quint, of Monroe, Michigan and Roger Quint, of Vadnais Heights.
