FORT DRUM â Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes has received $45 million it will use to complete improvements for privatized military on-post housing.
In partnership with the United States Army, Lendlease on Wednesday announced it has closed on $1.1 billion in financing for improvement plans for privatized military housing communities at Fort Drum and four other Army installations over the next five years.
With these additional funds, Lendlease will invest about $45 million into improvements at Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes. Plans call for minor renovations on more than 700 homes, installation of more than 650 new HVAC systems and completing siding and roof repairs on more than 300 homes.

Chief Warrant Officer Five Chris Cottrill is a native of Plymouth, Minnesota. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in June 1990 and completed USMC Basic at MCRD San Diego, California. Cottrill served as a CH-53 crew chief until June 1998 before being accepted into the U.S. Army flight training program. Cottrill attended the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Basic Course and U.S. Army Helicopter Flight Training at Fort Rucker, Alabama, in 1998. He completed UH-60 pilot qualification in October 1999.

March training advisory for Army ranges on Oahu
SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (Feb. 26, 2021) Local military units are scheduled to conduct essential training activities in March that may be heard by surrounding communities.
Protecting the health of the force and the community continue to be the Army s top priority as Hawaii service members maintain mission readiness. All mission essential training requires adherence to Department of Defense and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines regarding safety and physical distancing, to include the wearing of masks and frequent sanitization to the extent possible.
Essential training is subject to change based on safety, weather and other environmental factors. Weather, such as overcast conditions can increase noise and vibrations. Should individuals hear noise, there is no immediate danger.
