A Rochester woman turned herself in Friday to Sangamon County sheriff s deputies on charges that she stabbed a man to death early Thursday at their residence.
Keely A. Williams, 46, faces three counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated domestic battery. Williams is accused of killing Joshua Pfeiler, 38, of Rochester.
The incident occurred in the 6800 block of White Deer Trail, where Williams and Pfeiler lived and shared a romantic relationship. The Sangamon County Sheriff s Office reported that Pfeiler was stabbed at the residence and laid down in the driveway. Deputies provided medical attention to him before emergency medical services arrived and transported him to HSHS St. John s Hospital in Springfield.

Springfield man dead following Thursday shooting
A man died early this morning following a shooting Thursday afternoon in Springfield.
The shooting occurred behind a residence in the 2300 block of South Sixth Street, as local police were dispatched to the scene at 1:17 p.m. yesterday. After suffering multiple gunshot wounds, Timothy Swope Jr., 36, was transported by ambulance from the site of the shooting to HSHS St. John’s Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 12:35 a.m. today.
Preliminary results of an autopsy performed by the Sangamon County Coroner’s Office indicate that Swope, of Springfield, died from the gunshot wounds he suffered.
