On March 27 and 28, tens of thousands of people from around the world raised their voices to reject the unjust and criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US against Cuba for more than 60 years.
Under the slogan âBridges of Loveâ, Cuban emigrants, personalities and solidarity, political and union organisations in the five continents carried out public demonstrations on foot and in caravans of cars, motorcycles and bicycles.
South Africa also joined the initiative. On Sunday, March 28, a march was organised by the Association of Cuban Residents in South Africa.

Quito, Apr 1 (Prensa Latina) The Association of Cuban Residents in Ecuador (ACURE) increased its ranks by creating the headquarters in the Santo Domingo province, where the affiliates ratified their support for the people and the Government of Cuba. The group arose from the interest of Cuban citizens to promote the unity of their compatriots through cultural and recreational activities, commemorating events and helping each other.
The new members of the association elected their leadership and took advantage of the appointment to draw up the lines of work for the rest of the year and short- and medium-term actions.
