New dates confirmed for SportAccord 2021 as 19th edition now set for November in Ekaterinburg 04/07/21 LAUSANNE, Switzerland – SportAccord has confirmed new dates for the SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2021, with sport’s most influential global gathering now set to take place from 7-12 November 2021 in Ekaterinburg, Russia at the IEC Ekaterinburg-Expo. The decision to push back the dates for the World Sport & Business Summit to November was taken by the SportAccord Executive Committee. SportAccord is in close dialogue with its partners in Ekaterinburg, the Sverdlovsk Oblast region, and the Russian Federation. This move will provide greater safety and certainty to attendees in the context of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic but certainly to allow the greatest impact for our hosts.

IOC RECEIVES WADA S CRC CONFIRMATION THAT IMPLEMENTATION GUIDELINES FOR CAS DECISION REGARDING RUSADA WILL NOT LEAD TO NON-COMPLIANCE PROCEDURES IF FULLY APPLIED 02/19/21 The decision taken by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on 17 December 2020 regarding the case of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) needs to be strictly and consistently implemented across the Olympic Movement. Any deviation from the award could lead to new court cases or non-compliance procedures by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). This is why implementation guidelines were submitted to WADA by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in coordination with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the International Federations (IFs). They aim to help the IOC, IPC and IFs with the correct implementation of the award.
