KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng blasted Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein’s “big brother” remark today, calling it a breach in diplomatic protocol.
In a statement, Lim said that Hishammuddin s excuse that the remark was a personal address to China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi was unacceptable, as it was aired during an official diplomatic ceremony and in front of the world’s media.

Demonstrators in Myanmar held protests demanding the restoration of Aung San Suu Kyi’s government on Monday and called for more co-ordinated nationwide dissent against the military junta, as regional nations prepared for talks on the crisis.
Six people were killed at the weekend, said activists, as police and soldiers forcefully broke up demonstrations that some protesters are calling a “spring revolution”.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim again ripped into the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration this time warning them that introducing lopsided policies and cutting deals aimed at prolonging their status quo could come at the expense of the country’s sovereignty and diplomatic standing.
Anwar said the pace of mistakes and missteps being committed by those in the PN government was steadily increasing, a worrying situation only exacerbated by the absence of scrutiny and oversight by lawmakers in Parliament.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has criticised Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein for using what he termed as inappropriate terminology during a working visit to China.
Although he did not deny China is a friend to Malaysia with whom better trade and investment ties should be forged, Anwar expressed astonishment over the fact that Hishammuddin referred to the nation as Malaysia’s “big brother” during a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
