Hard work and grit helped me achieve my goals, says student who topped ACCA exam

Ali Shan, 19, hailing from Karachi, outperformed peers around the world in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Financial Reporting exam despite coronavirus hurdles affecting his studies.
Shan was among the three students who globally topped ACCA exams in April. The other two, Fakiha Maqsood and Kahaf Moid, secured the top positions in the Advanced Taxation paper and Audit and Assurance, respectively.
Speaking to
Geo.tv, the 19-year-old spoke about his study schedule and said that he tries to strike a balance between studies and other activities.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Chief Executive Helen Brand on Wednesday said accounting profession has a key role in achieving climate action and building a sustainable recovery.
According to a statement, she made these remarks in connection with the ACCA marking of the Earth Day 2021 with its activities around the world focusing on how professional accountants could play a key role in making businesses more sustainable.
ACCA has partnered with WWF-Pakistan to hold ‘Earth Day Conversation 2021’ featuring top thought leaders educating the business community on serious climate risks and sharing how professionals could address climate change impacts and promote sustainability.
GRETB Training Centre is now offering a free fully funded International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL ) course. This course is online and runs from May 10 for a duration of 20 weeks.
