【時報-台北電】台灣將設立「駐立陶宛台灣代表處」，英文名稱以「Taiwanese」代表台灣，相對另個以台灣為名的駐索馬利蘭代表處使用「Taiwan」，看得出立陶宛對中共仍有所顧忌。
針對代表處使用「Taiwanese」，外交部長吳釗燮昨在記者會解釋，Taiwanese就代表台灣，和歐美國家如英國在台辦事處（British Office Taipei）、法國在台協會（French Office in Taipei）、德國在台協會（German Institute Taipei）、美國在台協會（American Institute in Taiwan）使用的辦法一樣。
政大外交政策研究中心主任黃奎博表示，德國、英國分別用其國名的形容詞「German」、「British」，以降低政治敏感性，但「Taiwanese」並非代表中華民國，只是權宜之計，不應當成常態或突破。
他指出，蔡政府當然希望直接用「Taiwan」而非「Taiwanese」（台灣的或台灣人的），這正顯示立陶宛有其
