Cardiac Drug Study By SGPGIMS Wins First Prize of Excellence in Cardiology by Colleen Fleiss on February 17, 2021 at 12:23 AM
The cardiac drug study undertaken by Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) cardiology department has been awarded the first prize of excellence in cardiology by the AV Gandhi Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).
An official statement issued by the institute said, The study is likely to give a ray of hope to many patients afflicted with mitral valve disease and atrial fibrillation to achieve normal cardiac rhythm and lead to a good quality life.
Dr. Anindya Ghosh of the department, who presented the data, received the first prize amongst all the thesis submitted from across India.

Key Highlights
eVIN was originally designed to closely monitor vaccine inventories at inoculation centres, reduce spoilage of vaccines as a result of poor cold storage, and maximise availability to children and pregnant women
The app is set to serve as an end-to-end solution for vaccine management and distribution and includes tracking features that allow officials to closely monitor how vaccines are transported from the manufacturer to the recipient

LUCKNOW: Despite the prolonged lockdown in the wake of Covid-19, 773 startups began their operations in the state in the past one year. The total number of start-ups which have come up in the state in the past three years is now 3,406.
Additional chief secretary (IT and Electronics) Alok Kumar said that the development took place despite the Covid-19 pandemic, adding that seven proposals for establishment of incubators had been approved in the current month under new Startup Policy-2020.
These include first incubator in Bundelkhand, in Rajkiya Engineering College in Banda, Atal Incubation Center in BHU Varanasi, NASSCOM 10,000 Startup Warehouse in Noida, Jaipuria Incubator and Maharshi Center for Entrepreneur Development in Lucknow, Startup Launchpad in GLA University Mathura and in Krishna Engineering College, Ghaziabad.
