Gbajabiamila said both countries were yet to explore fully the extent of the relationship that could be established between them. Maren was reacting to a statement issued by the House spokesman, Rep Benjamin Kalu (APC, Abia) on Monday debunking a report that the House had apologised to the president over the invitation. In an SMS to our reporter over the issue, the lawmaker said: “Laughable. There is no need issuing a statement. They should enforce the House resolutions. Our people are dying and survivors living in danger of being killed. Let’s stop the rhetorics and do the needful.”
