Nur-Sultan [Kazakhstan], January 12 (ANI): Kazakhstan s election authority on Tuesday announced the parliamentary election results in which Nur Otan Party led by former President Nursultan Nazarbayev has ranked at the first position.
According to the country s Central Election Commission, Anadolu Agency reported that the ruling Nur Otan Party led by former President Nursultan Nazarbayev ranked first with 71.9 per cent, while the Ak Zhol Democratic Party second with 10.95 per cent and the People s Party of Kazakhstan ranked third winning 9.10 per cent of the votes.
The Auyl People s Democratic Patriotic Party received 5.29 per cent of the votes and the Adal party 3.57 per cent.

The head of an election-monitoring team to Kazakhstan from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has detailed a litany of failings and seemingly concerted moves by Kazakh authorities to hinder transparency in recent national elections.
In its initial conclusions, the team described the January 10 Kazakh vote as not competitive and devoid of genuine political alternatives to choose from.
But Jaroslaw Domanski, head of the limited observation mission for the OSCE s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), used tougher language in an interview with RFE/RL two days after the balloting.

NUR-SULTAN, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) Kazakhstan s Central Election Commission (CEC) announced Tuesday that the ruling Nur Otan party grabbed 71.09 percent of votes and 76 seats in the parliamentary elections on Sunday.
The Ak Zhol Democratic Party and the People s Party of Kazakhstan secured 12 and 10 seats in the Majilis, the lower house of the parliament, winning 10.95 percent and 9.1 percent of votes respectively.
The Auyl Party and the Adal Party, however, did not pass the seven-percent threshold to enter parliament.
According to the CEC, a total of 7.5 million out of 11.9 million voters cast their ballots on Sunday, with the voter turnout at 63 percent.
